Teeth Whitening

Are your teeth turning yellow? Have you maybe not been brushing as consistently as you should? Maybe you are trying to whiten your teeth on your own and nothing seems to work. Don’t worry, we’ll take it from here. We understand that having a white smile is very important to our customers and with that understanding, we have developed our own cutting edge whitening services. No, we won’t turn you into Ross from friends, but we can promise that our teeth whitening service will give you that extra boost in confidence you need to feel comfortable smiling. There are multiple ways to go about whitening. The first if you haven’t tried it yet would be the 3D crest whitening strips. These can have great results if used as directed. We can also create your own custom tray with whitening gel that fits perfectly against your teeth. Of course, this stuff is top notch and can’t even be bought over the counter in stores. Another service we offer is our 40-minute solution. This is where we use a super-strong bleaching gel that delivers massive results. If you have any questions at all, we would love to get on the phone with you and help answer those.

Root Canal

Ugh, root canals are such a headache. Literally. Root canals are probably one of the most complained-about services that are offered everywhere. Our Placerville dentists and orthodontists understand this and your comfort is our priority in these situations. Root canals need to take place when tooth decay has damaged or already killed the tooth. Tooth decay can work itself down into what’s called the pulp. The pulp is the soft interior of the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels. If the pulp becomes infected or worse, abscessed, then it is imperative that the root canal is performed. The steps we take in our root canal procedures are as follows. First, we want to ease your pain so we inject you with numbing medicine that numbs the teeth, gums, and sometimes surrounding skin. The second thing we do is separate the tooth from all the others using a sheet of rubber. This is done so that the dentist is focused on that tooth alone, and it protects tooth chips and liquid from entering your throat during the operation.

Lastly, we remove the pulp, fill the hole with medicines and materials, and finally a root canal filling. We know its not the most enjoyable operation to have, but we take your comfort throughout it very seriously and will do whatever it takes to make it as painless as possible.

Wisdom Teeth

Who knew seniors in high school could be so wise? All those years in school just to lose all the wisdom at the end of their time. Are high school seniors being wise? What a joke. Unfortunately what isn’t a joke is the effect wisdom teeth can have on your mouth if not removed on time. If you are a part of the insanely lucky 20% that doesn’t need their teeth removed just keep on scrolling, please don’t laugh at our pain. Wisdom teeth need to be removed when there is no space for them to come down.

Everyone has them but sometimes people have enough space to not have to get them removed. 80% of the time though, wisdom teeth need to be removed or they will commit painful damage in your mouth by crowding. After your wisdom teeth are removed we recommend not drinking from a straw for a while as the pressure could mess with the stitches. We also understand that you have a busy schedule so we use stitches that fall out naturally when healing so that you do not have to come in again other than your follow up. If you need wisdom teeth removal in Placerville to look no further!

Orthodontist

We are also experienced in the field of orthodontics with braces and retainers. We examine all oral cavities and leave nothing unchecked.and untreated. We are also responsible for straightening and realigning teeth. When you are an orthodontist paying attention to detail is very important. In fact, it is almost the whole job. Some of our duties are checking up with patients and reviewing their progress. This is important especially with areas like braces because we all know you want to get those off as soon as possible. We also create molds so that we can see and practice with what we are dealing with before we make any sudden changes. Our orthodontists also have large background knowledge in dentistry since you really do have to be experts in both. If you have any questions regarding our Placerville Orthodontist feel free to give us a call at 530-622-0701, we’ll be happy to help.
